Akash Gupta
Director

Bijoux 1940 was neology of Akash who started his full time career in 2003 after completing his Bachelor in Engineering & Masters in Business Administration.

Apart from learning the ropes over dinner table during his childhood he acquired the skills of running family business the hard way, right from bottom of the chain understanding each & every aspect of it.

An ardent globetrotter he felt the exigency to develop a brand reverberating with class, merit & vision.

He experienced the luxuriance in different constructions & raw material that would go into making of handmade fashion jewellery.

Possibilities seemed endless which became stimulating factors for him to set out into creating a vast range of innovating designs. Known to be a technocrat in the head, businessman at heart & artist from his soul he seized the opportunity with his fervent fancy, lead by his own study, the abyss of handcrafted modern & urban jewellery

Director

Belonging to a very early & prominent gold & diamond business family of Agra (The city of Taj) Shweta has always had an eye for fine craftsmanship and for our age old traditions in textile weaving, fabrics & creative craft.

After completing her Masters in Commerce & MBA she single handedly established her boutique candles business during early 2000’s. Her creations could be seen across all top end hotels & establishments. The venture was small-scale but very special. As they say, “Best things come in small packages”.

2004- Shweta & Akash got married and creative synergies got generated. Both learnt a lot about the business from each other all these years and they continue to garner more.
